Origin:
This variety is selectively bred from wild discus species, primarily found in the Amazon River basin of South America. The Yellow Musk Discus has been developed through targeted breeding to produce a rich yellow body color with a soft, misty overlay, giving it a unique “musk” appearance.

Size:
Adult Yellow Musk Discus typically grow to about 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in diameter.

Temperament:

• Peaceful and social fish
• Prefers to be kept in groups of 5 or more
• Sensitive to stress and water quality fluctuations; thrives in calm, stable environments

Care Requirements:

• Water temperature: 82°F to 86°F (28°C to 30°C)
• pH: 6.0 to 7.0
• Water hardness: Soft to moderately hard
• Requires regular water changes and good filtration to maintain excellent water quality

Diet:
Omnivorous — feeds on high-quality flakes, pellets, and beef heart preparations.
