Origin:
The Red Stone Discus is a selectively bred ornamental strain of discus, derived from wild Discus fish native to the Amazon River basin in South America. This variety has been developed by breeders to enhance its warm, earthy red base coloration combined with a distinctive golden-red facial area and intricate patterning across the body. The “stone” effect refers to its textured, layered appearance, resembling natural mineral tones with maze-like or wave-like markings.

Adult Red Stone Discus typically grow to about 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in diameter.

Peaceful and social in nature
Best kept in groups of 5 or more
Sensitive to stress and requires a calm, stable environment.

Diet:
