Origin:
The Golden Ghost Discus is a domestically bred discus strain, developed through selective breeding of wild discus species originating from the Amazon River basin of South America. This variety carries the ghost gene, which suppresses body bars and patterns, resulting in a smooth, solid golden-yellow body with a clean white or pale face and an exceptionally refined appearance.

Size:
Adult Golden Ghost Discus typically grow to about 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in diameter.

Temperament:

• Peaceful and social fish
• Prefers to be kept in groups of 5 or more
• Sensitive to water quality, requiring stable, clean, and warm water conditions

Care Requirements:

• Water temperature: 82°F to 86°F (28°C to 30°C)
• pH: 6.0 to 7.0
• Soft to moderately hard water
• Regular water changes and a well-maintained filter system

Diet:
Omnivorous — feeds on high-quality flakes, pellets, and beef heart preparations. Growth-enhancing foods can help maintain its deep color tones.
