Origin:
This variety is selectively bred from wild discus species, mainly from the Amazon River basin in South America. Breeders have developed the Blue Diamond through careful genetic selection to enhance its brilliant blue color.

Size:
Adult Blue Diamond Discus typically grow to about 6 to 8 inches (15 to 20 cm) in diameter.

Temperament:

• Peaceful and social fish
• Prefers to be kept in groups of 5 or more
• Sensitive to water quality, requiring stable, clean, and warm water conditions

Care Requirements:

• Water temperature: 82°F to 86°F (28°C to 30°C)
• pH: 6.0 to 7.0
• Soft to moderately hard water
• Regular water changes and a well-maintained filter system

Diet:
Omnivorous — feeds on high-quality flakes, pellets, and beef heart preparations.
